delawareonline | The News Journal | Raids reveal possible human trafficking

Last May, a man called Delaware State Police with an outrageous claim: His wife was being held against her will in a Bridgeville brothel, forced to work as a prostitute to repay a debt to men who smuggled her across the Mexican border.
Another reason to oppose illegal immigration: it's not jsut bad for the country; it's bad for those sneaking into the country.

I think we all hear that story and think, "Where's there a brothel in Bridgeville?"

OK, I agree with your point in general, but it is somewhat dopey:

1. Illegal immigration is already illegal. When you say "oppose illegal immigration," what exactly does that mean? Make it legal? Make it double-illegal?

2. If you strictly enforce illegal immigration at the borders, the smuggling price will go up and women will have to sell themeselves AND their daughters to pay off their smuggling debts.

On the other hand, if you aggressively jail the GOP-donating businessmen who employ the illegals, then there will be no magnet and the smuggling business will fall to pieces within the year.

Mighty broad brush, there.

Most business people donate to whomever they think is going to win regardless of party. The culture of corruption in Washington usually takes care of the teat it suckles from, regardless of party affiliation.
